NutraPet is an owner-managed manufacturer based in southern Germany. Since 2016, we have been developing, producing and testing probiotic products for animals all at a single site: made in Germany, IFS-certified and fully traceable.
Under this one roof we bring together three brands that complement each other. Together, they stand for one thing: science-based animal nutrition with a focus on gut health — the foundation for a strong immune system and overall wellbeing.

NutraVital
NutraVital is our own brand for pet owners who wish to purchase manufacturer-grade products directly. Originally, our probiotic formulations were available exclusively through veterinary practices. However, more and more pet owners wanted to buy them directly.
That is exactly what NutraVital stands for: the same manufacturer’s quality, the same standards, now available directly to pet owners and their animals. Developed from real-world experience, for use at home. Our range includes probiotic feed supplements for dogs, cats and horses, care products for skin, coat and teeth, and natural parasite protection. What they all have in common is a focus on gut health as the foundation for the animal’s wellbeing.
We test every batch in independent German laboratories; every step is documented. No fillers, no token dosages: what’s on the label is what’s inside.
NutraPro
NutraPro is our veterinary brand for veterinary practices. Our probiotic feed supplements and care products are available exclusively through specialist veterinary retailers.
Our formulations are developed on the basis of nutritional science, not market trends, and are supported by collaborative research with universities. Our focus is on gut health: around 80 per cent of the immune system is located in the gut, and there is a close link between gut flora, organ function and the body’s defences. The ingredients we claim to contain are present in effective quantities.
Our range includes probiotic feed supplements for dogs, cats and horses, as well as care sprays for wound care, dental care and skin and coat care. Every product undergoes systematic acceptance tests before being launched on the market; even powders are tested on their own, without being mixed with food. After all, professional conviction is of little use if compliance is lacking in everyday practice.
NutraIQ
NutraIQ is not a product, but our promise: the seal that demonstrates our quality. It is underpinned by our SMART principle, which comprises five criteria.
- Science & Technology: nutritionally balanced recipes, scientific studies and a partnership with LMU Munich, with a clear focus on gut health and probiotics.
- Made in Germany: Manufactured in southern Germany, IFS-certified at the Higher Level (over 95 per cent) and using our own manufacturing processes.
- Accepted by Pets: systematic acceptance tests carried out prior to every market launch, with acceptance rates of around 80 per cent for cats and up to 90 per cent for dogs – significantly above the market standard.
- Reliability & Quality: consistently validated processes and transparent formulations, in which the declared ingredients and their dosages match.
- Trusted: tried and tested on the market for years and recommended by veterinary practices, with a repurchase rate of around 80 per cent. In 2023 alone, our premixes were used in over a billion end products.
